Stunning Everlasting Design, Mexican Hand Embroidered Huipil Handmade in the Istmo de Tehuantepec region in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Traditionally, huipiles are loose-fitting tunics with a hole in the head joined at the sides. They are the most used garment in indigenous communities across Mexico and Central America and are used for various occasions, from casual wear to the most elegant ones.

Artisans in San Juan Guichicovi, located at the Istmo de Tehuantepec region of Oaxaca are renowned for the square embroidery found in these huipiles that is achieved by a technique called "bordado de cadenilla", or chain stitch. With an intricate and contrasting geometric design, these huipiles are a Mexican staple.
