The grand capital of Mexico, Tenochtitlan, as the Mexicas established in the 13th century, is a vibrant city full of history, food, colors, art and a place of many dreams. It is the home of Cartonería, or paper mache, paper and paste sculptures with intricate details, and designs. Pedro Linares, an artist born in Mexico City, was a key figure in these sculptures, as he imagined the famous mythical creatures called Alebrijes. The city is filled with great artists, and crafts ranging from mercado bags, ceramics, artisanal soaps, chocolates, and more! Feel the vibrating life of this city through this collection.
