THREADING HEALING RIBBONS AND ANCESTRY

Specialization: Hand-Embroidered Ribbon Huipiles

From the lush, healing lands of Huautla de Jiménez, Oaxaca, home of the Indigenous Mazatec people, Flor de Pisiete is a family-run collective carrying generations of ancestral knowledge. Their work is a vibrant celebration of tradition, artistry, and identity, threading together color, symbolism, and patterns passed down through grandmothers, mothers, and aunts.

Every creation reflects magnificent iconography that revitalizes the cultural spirit of the region. Using traditional techniques, handcraft is elevated with satin ribbons and layers of detail, giving each piece a luminous, dimensional quality. The collective of fifteen artisans carefully selects materials, sketches designs, and hand-embroiders with devotion, dedicating months to perfect each work of art.

Flor de Pisiete transforms heritage into living stories—bold, elegant, and full of soul—keeping the beauty and spirit of the Mazatec people alive in every stitch.
