Colectivo Malagueña was founded by Carolina and her partner, inspired by the timeless song Malagueña Salerosa. The workshop began with clay sugar skulls and gradually evolved to reflect Carolina’s personal vision and creativity. Over time, her work has traveled across Mexico, the United States, Canada, and Spain, carrying her passion and artistry to distant places.

Carolina’s journey is simple yet beautiful. From a young age, she dreamed of being an artist, encouraged by her mother to draw on anything she could find—napkins, scraps of paper, anything that could hold her imagination. As an adult, she worked in a job she did not love, until one day she took a leap of faith, leaving it behind to dedicate herself fully to artisanal clay. She learned to paint, shape, and craft with patience and intention, knocking on doors of galleries and sharing her creations until her path opened. Painting became her refuge, her teacher, and clay her true love.

Today, Carolina blends Mexican popular art with innovation, creating one-of-a-kind hand-painted clay hearts that pulse with color, movement, and vibrancy—the heart of Mexico in every stroke. Her work is intentional, rooted in a deep connection to the Earth, just as clay comes from the soil, and inspired by the beauty she imagines in the world. With every piece, Carolina celebrates her heritage, her dreams, and the limitless possibilities of artisanal creation.
