Colectivo Nahual
REIMAGINATION OF ANCESTRAL WISDOM INTO DELICIOUS TREATS

In the fertile lands of San Antonio Tecomitl, Milpa Alta, Mexico City, a passionate collective of artisans reimagines tradition with the sacred grain that has nourished México for generations: maíz. Colectivo Nahua, now four years into their journey, began in their mother’s kitchen, growing through dedication into their own production space.
Using native red and blue corn, they craft unforgettable mazapanes that honor the land and ancestral agricultural wisdom. Their corn is harvested by hand, naturally dried under the sun, then gently toasted before being ground into a fine and silky texture. Each piece is hand-molded one by one, preserving the care of true artisanal work. The result is a treat that carries the deep, toasted aroma of real corn—sweet, earthy, and beautifully smooth, with an authentic corn flavor that still holds the soft texture we all love.
Rooted in community, their work brings together hands from the milpa to the workshop—tending the land, producing, and sharing their craft. Their maize is grown without pesticides, guided by ecological practices that respect the soil and the cycle of the seasons. Every bite reflects patience, heritage, and the sacred relationship between people and land.
This is mazapán with corazón—an irresistible companion to cafecito or a midday antojo. A taste of Milpa Alta, where tradition lives in every kernel.
