Colectivo Xochimeztli
SACRED RHYTHMS AND BLOOMING TEXTILES

From the vibrant lands of San Gabriel Chilac, Puebla, within a Nahua community is Colectivo Xochimeztli— a family collective of the Espindola Mendoza lineage, weaving together and preserving textile traditions of three generations with love, patience and ancestral devotion.
Guided by the steady hands and wisdom of their mother, Silvia Espindola Mendoza, the family carries forward techniques learned from observation, repetition, and corazón. Every stitch is a lesson passed down. Every thread, a blessing. They believe the threads themselves are seeds — planting blooming gardens across their textiles.
Dedicated to creating huipiles, dresses, sweaters, and garments for everyday beauty, their small workshop hums florals inspired by their natural surroundings blossom across cloth, echoing the landscapes of Puebla and the spirit of their Nahua roots. Each embroidered icon carries respect for origin, vibrating with symbolism and identity.
Blending contemporary silhouettes with traditional hand-embroidery, Colectivo Xochimeztli bridges past and present with grace. Their name, Xochimeztli — meaning “Moon Flower” — reflects their devotion to cycles of life, femininity, and the sacred rhythm of blooming under both sun and moon.
