Pulcro Textil
REVIVING CULTURAL AND COMMUNITY WITH CONTEMPORARY DESIGN SENSIBILITIES

Born from the vision of Lizz Torres in Tabasco, Pulcro Textil is a vibrant artisan collective dedicated to reviving and preserving the disappearing techniques and traditions of Huipil-making. Witnessing the fading of ancestral designs and skills, Lizz created this workshop to reconnect with her community’s heritage, elaborating on centuries-old patterns and stories woven into every thread.
Every creation begins with handpicked cotton, naturally dyed with minerals, flowers, leaves, bark, cacao seeds, achiote, and other substances from the rich lands of Tabasco. The embroidery patterns and one-of-a-kind designs carry oral histories and community moments, ensuring that each piece is a living testament to culture, memory, and identity.
The collective works hand in hand, dedicating months of meticulous care to each process, from dyeing to weaving to embroidery. Their work celebrates timeless artistry, lightweight comfort, and modern elegance, blending ancestral techniques with contemporary design sensibilities.
Pulcro Textil is more than a workshop—it is a cultural mission: to preserve, honor, and share the beauty and deep history of Tabasco’s textile heritage with the world.
